    I have always wished that vision was treated under the best possible conditions, without financial blockades, with access to the best specialist and modern diagnostic equipment. That is why, when I set up the first Eye Surgery Centre in Nałęczów some years ago, I promised myself that in my centres, economic barriers would not decide about access to professional treatment. It remains so still today.

    We invite to OCHO great specialists from abroad; we want our patients to be consulted by eminent Professors from Germany, the United States and Israel. Together we treat complex and, from a medical point of view, even hopeless cases of diseases. Our efforts are measured by what can be seen in the eyes of patients. It is hope, joy, or even wonder, since when they recover better vision, their life comfort is completely changed.

    Cataract

    Procedures of cataract removal (also those reimbursed by the National Health Fund) are conducted in comfortable conditions of advanced operation suites at our Eye Surgery Centres in Nałęczów, Kraków, Rzeszów and Nowy Sącz.     Vitrectomy

    OCHO in Rzeszów and Nałęczów offers a full range of complex vitrectomy procedures. We offer surgeries of deep eye structures, treating numerous diseases of eye retina – endophthalmitis, eye injuries, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and vitreous opacities

    Glaucoma

    We treat glaucoma at each stage of the disease, from extended diagnostics of the optic disc (optical coherence tomography), through laser treatment (micro- cyclophotodestruction, selective laser trabeculoplasty, laser iridotomy), to surgical treatment (Schlemm’s canal surgery) and drainage implant placement (e.g. Preserflo implant), and classic procedures, like trabeculectomy.

    Laser Vision Correction

    Effective, painless, quick. Visual acuity without the necessity to use glasses or contact lenses. At OCHO, we use two laser types: Excimer lasers – gold standard in laser correction of impaired vision, and, Femtosecond lasers for correcting myopia. We correct myopia from -1.0 to -8.0 Dsph,; astigmatism to 4.5 Dcyl, and hyperopia to +4.0 Dsph

    Dry Eye Syndrome

    We offer Thermoflo, procedures involving eyelid cleaning and gentle heat massage (42 deg. C) with the use of MiboThermoflo® device (USA), which makes dysfunctional meibomian glands clear. This is the only safe and effective method of treatment of the dry eye syndrome available on the market. At OCHO in Kraków, the first in Poland Outpatient Dry Eye Clinic operates. Thermoflo procedures are also performed at OCHO in Lublin, Nałęczów, Rzeszów and Nowy Sącz.

    Blepharoplasty

    We offer procedures of plastic surgery – blepharoplasty of upper and lower eyelids, surgical brow lift, and ectropion surgery, as well as complex procedures of reconstructive surgery for congenital eyelid anomalies, reconstructions after removal of neoplastic lesions, treatment of conditions after facial nerve irritation, blepharospasm and removal of such lesions as chalazion, papillomas and cysts.

    Refractive Surgery

    Safe technologies for surgical correction of impaired vision; recommended to patients who do not want to use glasses, are tired of using classic contact lenses and, for the sake of their occupation, must maintain maximum visual acuity. We use extremely durable (40-50 years) phakic lenses created with the use of innovative technology on the basis of natural collagen. The best solution available on the market for correcting large defects, from +10 to -20 dioptres.

    Premium Lenses

    We offer the most technologically advanced multifocal intraocular lenses, which enable correction of any vision impairment. Premium IOLs allow for increased depth of acuity or good visual acuity for far, near and intermediate distances. Implantation of IOLs is performed at OCHO by leading surgeons from Poland and abroad. The lenses have additional filters, protecting the retina against harmful effects of light.
